We are on our own private dead end road above the Saco River.
The parking is safe on our property. The apartment is private and newly renovated in the winter of 2016.
The main room is airy and light filled with a cathedral ceiling and huge Palladian window with a wide mountain view, but cozy at night with a gas fireplace, large 4K TV, high speed internet and comfortable couch.
The bedroom has a king sized bed and the couch pulls out for a comfortable queen sized bed if needed.
The kitchen is designed for cooking, plus there is a gas grill on the deck. It is a wonderful space for a couple wanting to feel at home in the mountains while traveling.
Guests have their own second story deck, and the private apartment that consists of the living/dining/kitchen room, a spacious and comfortable bedroom with king sized bed and a very comfortable queen size bed converted from the sofa if you like. And bathroom with shower.
We live in our home which is on the property next door and we are happy to assist guests with local information. We've lived in the area for over 40 years and know it very well. As film makers we have produced many of the commercials for this area, a few documentaries, and an audio tour of the White Mountains. We're now semi-retired and enjoy maintaining our property and welcoming guests. The building was our video studio.
The Mount Washington Valley is a beautiful place in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We are on the scenic West Side Road in an area where properties are five acres or more.
Our buildings are surrounded by forest and set off from the road which passes above the buildings. Our setting is private and peaceful with no other buildings but ours.
Our location is excellent for access to the restaurants and shopping in North Conway and short or scenics drives to anywhere else in the mountains you wish to go.

The deck is a great place for bird watching, lots of birds catch the thermals or ridge lift just below the deck.

The pink lady's slipper (Cypripedium acaule) was designated the official state wildflower of New Hampshire in 1991 (purple lilac is the state flower, adopted in 1919). The lady's slipper is a unique member of the orchid family, a showy wildflower native to North America (also called moccasin flower, or simply lady slipper).
Fall is an incredible show here in the White Mountains, this is town of Bartlett seen from Bear Notch Road.
